  1. I am no longer enrolling subjects and all intervention with enrolled subjects has ended.  If I am analyzing data, do I need to submit a Request for Renewal of IRB approval?

    2. You will need to submit a Request for Renewal of IRB approval as long as the research involves identifiable data because of risks of a breach of confidentiality. If you are not using identifiable data, the research study can be terminated and IRB oversight is no longer required.

  2. Should I notify the IRB when my research study has been completed?

    3. Yes, when you are no longer using identifiable data you should notify irb@apppstate.edu that your study is completed.
