Proposal Development – Submission Systems
The following sites provide information about commonly used electronic systems for proposal submissions. The tutorials and guidance are designed to provide a better understanding of these systems. Some systems require that you initially be registered through the Office of Sponsored Programs. Please contact us for assistance and to submit your proposal.
- Grants.gov is the electronic proposal submission system for the 26 federal grantmaking agencies
- U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)
- The DoD’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) requires the submission of pre-applications for all of its research programs. Pre-applications must be submitted through the CDMRP eReceipt System.
- U.S. Department of Education (DoED) uses the e-Application module within its e-Grants system for certain competitions
- U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) is transitioning to a new electronic submission system. Energy offices may require electronic proposal submission through the e-Center system or through the FedConnect system
- National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) uses NSPIRES (NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System) for electronic proposal submission
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Two separate electronic proposal submission systems that work together are used by the NIH to receive proposals: Grants.gov and the eRA Commons. Prospective applicants must be registered in both systems.
- The National Science Foundation uses FastLane as its electronic proposal submission system
