Events and Workshops in Proposal Development

The Office of Proposal Development provides targeted workshops for faculty and staff. Covered topics include writing proposals for the first time, research tools for faculty, and specialized research programs for faculty. Training is also available for the Community of Science (COS). If you are interested in COS one-on-one, small group or departmental training, please contact Heather Young to schedule a session.

Triangle Census Research Data Center Workshops

    “What is the TCRDC and How Can it Help Me?”  The Triangle Census Research Data Center (TCRDC) is a partnership between the U.S. Census Bureau and Duke University in cooperation with the University of North Carolina System. 

    Join us for an informative workshop where you will learn about TCRDC’s services, including access to unpublished microdata from economic and demographic censuses and surveys, confidential data from the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). 

    The TCRDC is one of nine Research Data Centers in the U.S. and the only such facility in the Southeast.  Faculty, students, and staff from any of the 16 universities in the UNC System may use the TCRDC free of cost for their Census approved research projects.
